This is an extended article based on the book Intelligence, from Natural Origins to Artificial Frontiers – Human Intelligence vs. Artificial Intelligence (Sfetcu 2024). As AI systems evolve and become more pervasive in our daily lives, the ethical considerations surrounding their development, deployment, and impact have come to the forefront. The ethics of artificial intelligence span a broad spectrum of issues, ranging from privacy and bias to accountability and the societal consequences of automation. This article delves into these ethical dimensions, highlighting the importance of adopting a balanced approach that encourages innovation while protecting human values and rights.
