Alexandru Ion is currently working in the Information security field for an international company. He has received his Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Bucharest. Having a 3 year doctoral scholarship, during this time he was awarded a research grant from the “Raţiu Foundation” in order to improve his final thesis, at the University of Edinburgh and a CEEPUS scholarship at the University of Vienna. He has a Master degree in International Relations at the University of Bucharest and was also an Erasmus student at Université libre de Bruxelles in the Political Science department. His academic contribution includes several published papers in national and international journals in the area of cybersecurity and digital rights.
